Nigerian Youth Parliament, South East Caucus On Enugu Killings

The Leadership of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, South East Caucus, highly condemn the recent killing of some community members in the community of Ndiagu, Attakwu, Akegbe-Ugwu in Nkanu-West Local Government Area of Enugu State by the Fulani herdsmen.

We use this means to call upon the Federal Government, South East Governors Forum, Security Agencies. and other relevant stakeholders to find better and everlasting solution to this menace in the zone.

We remain optimistic that this current administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari, in his promise to provide solution to the cases of insecurity in Nigeria, will find a better ground to resolve this wanton killing of innocent Nigerians.

We appeal to young Nigerians to desist from any form of violence, and work towards restoration of our national image and integrity.

We mourn with the affected families, and appeal to them to find the fortitude to bear the loss.

We commend the work and the on-going investigation by the men of the Nigerian Police Force, and as well urge the affected community to support the Police with all the necessary information as requested.

May the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
