EDO GOVERNORSHIP: Dokpesi Joins forces with Ize Iyamu as SDP FUSES with PDP.

The ambition of PDP candidate in the coming governorship election, Osagie

Ize -Iyamu received a massive  boost on Wednesday as a Chieftain and

prominent contender for the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party,

Raymond Dokpesi leads his campaign in Etsako land.
In a statement by Media Aide Omor Bazuaye to Raymond Dokpesi Organisation,

Dokpesi said despite the botched convention in Port Harcourt he feels

obliged to provide the  necessary pillar of support expected of a worthy

National Chairman to Ize-Iyamu at a time when the party is in dire need of

quality  leadership.
Iyamu's chances of snatching the governorship position is further enhanced

in Auchi where stalwart of Social Democratic Party  {SDP}Abubakar  Momoh

openly fused the entire machinery of his party in the six Local Government

Areas and sixty-four wards in Edo North in support of PDP candidate,

Ize-Iyamu.
He said the party took the decision to join forces with Ize Iyamu after a

careful assessment of his profile; convinced that he is the candidate that

SDP can work with and who can rescue the state from its current situation.

“All my coordinators , you know our campaign materials are with you.

As from tommorrow, you have to rebrand them with the photograph of Ice

Iyamu”.
He told his party members to take Ize- Iyamu's campaign to   the nooks and

crannies of Etsako land.
Dokpesi Joined other PDP leaders in Edo State to welcome Momoh and his

supporters.
PDP candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu told the crowd of supporters he would not

betray their confidence if voted as Governor.
“I know you have been disappointed by APC government. I know you’ve been

betrayed in the past, I'll not betray you. My government would be your

government and together we shall transform our state”, he said.

Elsewhere outside of his campaign office in Auchi, Ize-Iyamu is received

by another maddening crowd.
Earlier Ize Iyamu visited the Royal Palace of the Aidonogie of South Ibie,

His Royal Highness, Umoru Inusa Umoru.
From the palace, Ize Iyamu walked the distance to the town centre.

His message here was that of hope; a message of a glorious future where

the dividends of democracy would be delivered to the people.

Ize-Iyamu in the company of Dokpesi  took his campaign deep into Etsako

land; combing through towns like Fuga, Udaba,Oghomere,Apana Uzairu and

Okpepe.
His largest crowd by far came from Okpella where hundreds of party

faithful most of them youths and women trooped out to welcome and catch a

glim of the man who wants to direct the affairs of the state in the next

four years.
