Count Down To Ondo APC Governorship Primaries: Olabimtan Visits Okitipupa, Vow To Uphold Agagu's Legacies

A former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly and All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship Aspirant, Rt. Hon. Victor Adekanye Olabimtan has vowed to emulate the style of governance of his mentor and former governor of the state, late Olusegun Agagu if elected as governor of the state.

The Supare-Akoko born trained teacher turned politician made this known on Tuesday in Okitipupa, the headquarters of Ikale land.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the former commissioner representing Ondo, Kogi and Edo States in the federal civil service commission promised to make the state university of technology in Okitipupa (OSUTECH) a university of first choice if granted the insignia of power.

"The 182 delegates in the 13 wards from Okitipupa Local Government Area of our dear state hosted me this morning in the city of Okitipupa, the headquarters of Ikale land.

"I was in the city to plead with them not to vote for money, backwardness and stagnation of Ondo State people.

"I urged them to place the interest of Ondo State at hearts on Saturday August 27th by voting for Victor Adekanye Olabimtan.

"I pleaded that they should vote for an atuluse on Saturday. I appealed that the delegates should give me a chance to flag the ticket of our great party.

"Infra-structurally, I promised to declare a state of emergency in Okitipupa local government.

"The Ondo State University of Technology, Okitipupa (OSUTECH) shall witness a total turn around if I am given the opportunity to govern the sunshine state.

"I will empower the youths by giving 50% of the appointments to them. It is time for youths to be deciding their future.

"More also, 35% of our appointments shall go to women mostly the well-travelled, rooted, grounded and exposed younger ones.

"The abandoned Oluwa bridge linking Okitipupa with other parts of Ikale and Ilaje land together shall be given a religion attention.

"I also promised the good people of Okitipupa to divide Okitipupa local government into three (3) local council development areas (LCDA) if I am elected the governor of Ondo State.

"I also told them that I will do stomach infrastructure for the local party members. An hungry man as they say is an angry man. I will empower our party executive members from the ward to state levels economically, materially and intellectually.

"Responding on behalf of the delegates, the chairman of the APC in Okitipupa local government, High Chief Wole Akeremale promised to vote for the development of Ondo State come Saturday.

"He promised that Okitipupa delegates shall vote for a tested and trusted Ondo man who will be accessible to them.

"The delegates also vowed to resist imposition of candidate.

"Above all, the delegates promised to compensate Victor Olabimtan with their votes for his unalloyed loyalty to the Oluomo of Ikale land, late Olusegun Agagu in his life and in death" Olabimtan said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.
