Wives Should Support Their Husbands In The Home Affairs Says Bishop Umunna

The award-winning preacher, father of African church drama and Presiding Bishop of Bible Life Church Cathedral (BLCC), Bishop Leonard Umunna, advised married women to support their husbands in the home affairs.

Speaking at the third edition of Gathering of Stars, Eagles and Champions (GOSEC), international women conference, Bishop Umunna said “The Ideal First Lady “must show genuine love for her husband and children. Also reading his scriptural verses from 2 Corinthians 27:6-7 and 1 Timothy 1:2-13, wives must obey their husbands at all levels which God honors in any marriage.

In this present economic situation now, women must not be idle and be educated as a wife does not make you a boss over your husband. Any successful home depends solely on the wife and understanding each other is the key factor to a lovable family

Adding that, training of the children should not be left for the husbands only but also the wives must take responsibility of scolding the children too.

Speaking further, another guest speaker, Evang Mrs.Afin Israel said the Ideal first lady must be prayerful and role model to other women. Husbands and wives must complement each other to make good homes.

Talk show on general home management was presented to the congregation by Pastor Angela Ekpene-Umunna as the anchor, while panelists also contributed their points on the Ideal First Lady.Drama, song ministration by each tribe of the church and workshop on entrepreneurial leadership also added colour to the conference. Guests were entertained and served with sumptuous meal.
