The Looming Civil War In Ghana—December 2016

By Francis Baffour

Failure to revamp the Electoral system
The NDC, per the winner-take-all military dictatorship Constitution they crafted in 1992, is plotting to rig elections again in December 2016 to inherit four years of Akan exports worth tens of billions of dollars.

Buoyed by incumbency, the NDC last year used a clause in their Constitution to appoint a staunch member of their party as Electoral Commissioner just to rig elections again. The EC, normally independent, has now become a branch of NDC and this is a recipe for civil war in December 2016.

Overtures by the international community, Supreme Court of Ghana and the various political parties for election reforms, Constitutional amendments and an independent EC have all been largely spurned.

Thus the Electoral Commission (EC) declaration of NDC as winners of Election 2016 would not be accepted and could plunge the country into a war dubbed The Battle of Voltaloo.

The NDC communist stronghold of Volta region on the border with Togo will come under heavy attack because of its large concentration of uniformed personnel who must be subdued quickly to stave off civil war which could escalate in the sub-region.

NDC-cum-EC conspiracy against NPP flag bearer Nana Addo

In Election 2008, the EC claimed Nana Addo lost by 30,000 (thirty thousand) votes in an electorate of 12 million. It was a change of government, the country was tensed up and for the sake of Ghana’s cohesion and stability he acquiesced. With that concession, revenue from tens of billions of dollars of Akan exports for four years went to the impoverished Ewes and their communist political wing NDC.

In Election 2012, the NDC controlled EC doctored the figures to read a deficit of 300,000(a factor of 10) for Nana Addo. He petitioned the NDC appointed Supreme Court which upheld the EC results. Again, the Ewes and their communist NDC party inherited tens of billions of dollars of Akan exports for four years.

In 2016, the NDC propaganda machine is in full gear with their paid quack pollsters projecting a loss of millions of votes(again a factor of 10) for Nana Addo and are already celebrating a one-touch victory in the December 2016 Elections. They stand to bag tens of billions of dollars of Akan exports for free.

A clean ballot or a dirty bullet in December 2016.

We expect a transparent election which results in a smooth handover of power to the opposition NPP without bloodshed—just like it happened in Nigeria in 2015. Or the NDC can choose to go “Gbagbo”.

In 2011 in neighboring Ivory Coast, Laurent Gbagbo had to be removed from power with the use of force by a coalition at a cost of thousands of lives when he refused to cede power after losing elections.

Peace comes from the barrel of a gun i.e. without war there will be no peace. The NDC cannot disregard the will of the people by colluding with their EC cohorts to rig elections again. They will be defeated.

This brings to mind Mr. Ghani of Afghanistan who was a clear winner in elections in 2014 but was disputed. He did not go to Supreme Court but his followers who felt robbed started taking up arms. Trouble was brewing so the international community got involved and made him winner and president.

New king, new law
Immediate priority to fight corruption, jail corrupt politicians, “Apollo” (purge) tens of thousands, make appointments based on competency rather than the current system of tribal and/or political affiliation.

Disband the NDC controlled EC and set up an apolitical committee with offices in each region to conduct elections in Ghana. Government should cut off aid to any region that does not fully comply.

Defund all ongoing projects in NDC strongholds. They are using billions of dollars of our money to develop their regions including building first-class roads and international airports. The Akan regions have only airplane parks and pot-holed roads. We have been alienated. Can I get a witness? It’s about time we rally behind an Akan to rule and bring developments to our region. This is common sense.

Pare down parliamentary seats to 100 with each region paying for its representatives instead of the taxpayer taking on the burden. Limit terms to a maximum of two to make them perform better.

The Ewe-framed 1992 Constitution has failed to promote peace, harmony and progress in Ghana but succeeded in creating tribal tensions, rigging of elections and runaway corruption so must be shredded.

In its place must be an Akan-friendly Constitution of the Federal-type where every region monitors its exports, pays 10% tax and keeps 90% for its own development. This will spur growth in exports and reward those who work hard as opposed to the lazy ones who thrive on lies and stealing.

In the event of civil war when the Communist NDC rigs Election 2016

Planning to rig Election 2016 the NDC has formed ahead several “Peace” groups to defend them. We came to announce to the world we reject all such groups which includes some corrupt and weak Akan leaders, an acrimonious NPP faction of thieves and some ‘religious’ leaders since they are bankrolled by NDC and are deeply compromised. This maneuver by NDC represents a total waste of taxpayers money.

However, the international community may broker a deal with a high-profile delegation made up of: NPP flag bearer Nana Addo, Kofi Annan, Dr. Mensa Otabil, Attorney General Amidu, Dr. Bawumia, Omanhene of Sekondi, Attorney General Joe Ghartey, Dr. Amoakoh Baah, Lawyer Addison, Lawyer Sir John, Lawyer Sam Okudzeto and Justice Dotse

If power transfer talks fail, the nationalists will intervene and push for an Akanexit referendum.

My fellow Akans we know you are hurting, feeling hopeless and frustrated but help is on the way.

Ghana to be split into two- Gonjeweland and Akanland, if NDC rigs Election 2016

Ghana to be split into the Communist Republic of Gonjeweland with their political wing NDC, currently provides a paltry 10% of exports, 30% of population but a disproportionate 60% of uniformed jobs.

Federal Republic of Akanland with 55% of population, a whopping 90% of Ghana’s exports, its own Constitution and ideology of capitalism.

The enactment of the Second World War Rollback Law restricting citizenship to those from regions which were part of Ghana in 1945.

Recruiting thousands of foreign fighters to be based on Akan soil to counter the dreaded NDC Nyebros-in-uniform, best known for fighting and slaughtering unarmed civilians. Koku, the NDC war-baiting Ewe tribalist has warned of attacks on Akans during Election 2016.

The Akan Chamber of Commerce shall trade with the Gonjewelese only in foreign currency when they buy oil and other products from us. We have to school them in capitalism where nothing is free.

A 4-year moratorium on Akan exports depending on the outcome of Election 2016.

Issuance of new currency, the Akan cedi.
Akan capital city in Western Region between Kumasi and Takoradi as legacy for generations to come. That was what Houphouet did next door. As a kid I was once wasteful with food so mama took me by the hand and whispered “promprom ente ho daa” (Good things don’t last forever). Pretty soon, we will run out of resources. What do we have to show for them? Seriously? That is my story.

Conclusion
NDC, the Ghana Mugabe, does not want to relinquish power after almost thirty years of rule since 1980 and is hell-bent on rigging elections again to grab tens of billions of dollars’ worth of Akan exports.

My fellow Akans, the new changes outlined above can take effect as early as January 2017. Things can turn on a dime. You only have to believe in benefiting from your resources and your hard work. Remember that you manifest what you believe and not what you want. Just believe and do it.

But freedom is not free-you must fight for it!
Start firing until the international community intervenes. There is a negotiation team already formed.

Let’s go! We have to wrest back control of our resources from the communist NDC.

The will of the people shall triumph in Election 2016 with the NDC and partners-in-crime EC as the only losers. Attack! Fire!
