We Are Capable Of Winning Elections In Nigeria --- Dr. Ikechukwu Oye

By Kenneth Orusi, Asaba

The National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dr. Victor Ikechukwu Oye, said the party has victory value and would no longer adopt any consensus candidate in the 2019 presidential election in the country.

Dr. Ikechukwu Oye noted that APGA is currently the fastest growing political party in Africa, as it already has an office in London, describing the party as a global one.

“In 2019, we are going to produce a presidential candidate, we are not going to support anybody. We have the capacity to win elections in Nigeria”, he boasted.

He made the disclosure Wednesday while lunching the Delta State chapter 2016/2017 calendar in Asaba.

While noting that APGA was the only political party in the country with a clear cut ideology, he said the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are going into recession.

He assured party members that come 2019, APGA would take over the governance of the state.

Earlier, the state chairman of the party, Hon. Afam Enemokwu said the calendar was in response and the will of APGA members to showcase the unity, love, purposeful leadership and commitment of the party to the advancement of democracy as it was the first of its kind in the present political dispensation of the party in the state.

“This calendar has been produced to serve as a means of reaching out to the political class and the entire electorate, the need to serve the people and bring to reality the essence of politics which is service to the people, which APGA is known for”.

Hon. Enemokwu took the avenue to call on the party leadership, the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano (Bot chairman) and the Senatorial candidate of the party in Anambra West, Chief Victor Umeh among others to give their support to the noble cause in order to takeover power from the PDP come 2019, assuring that “together we will get to the promise land”.

Also speaking, the Deputy Vice Chairman, Rt. Reverend Prince Nwanchukwu assured that APGA would take over the state in 2019, adding that the structure of the party in the 25 local government councils of the state was formidable, “in 2019, we are contesting all elective positions in the state”.

He said PDP was able to rig elections in the past because the party was able to gain access to result sheets, “now in this subsequent coming elections, they will not have access to results sheets and the results will be declared raw the way it is”, adding that APGA unlike other party would not be hijacked by anybody as its members are the financials.
