GROUP HONOURS IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR

A group under the aegis of Imo Youth Parliament this evening honoured the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere in recognition of his leadership qualities with the award of Icon of Humility when they paid him a courtesy call in his office, government house, Owerr, Imo State.

The leader of the group, Mr. William Opara extolled Prince Madumere for his virtues and commitment and loyalty to the successes so far achieved oby Rescue Mission Government.

He revealed arrived at the choice of Madumere after a relentless search before coming to terms with the fact that Prince Madumere met their outlined requisite leadership qualities. he described him as a role model to the youth, stating that Madumere's commitment and loyalty to the success of Governor Okorocha and his Rescue Mission Administration is unequaled.

He however appealed for Prince Madumere's support in their bid to hold memorial lectures in honour of some of the late notable Imo leaders who left lasting legacies with a view to psyching the younger generation to reach for greater height.

In the same vein, the Councillor of the group, Hon. Emma Duru opined that the group came on board since 1999 and draws its membership from graduates.

He assured Imo Deputy Governor of their resolve to support Imo government by ensuring especially the area of performance since they are non-partisan.

In his response, Imo Deputy Governor thanked the group for finding worthy for honour of such magnitude. He assured them he will not disappoint them by not changing his character.

He used the forum to advise the youth to shun any character that bring them to disrepute but to imbibe the spirit of hard work, patience and determination wherever they find themselves.
