"When God has fought your battle, you stand aside because there is no more battle to fight."

The above assertion best describes the various persecutions meted out on the person of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the Nigerian Senate President, whose major crime was to have occupied the number three seat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria against the wishes of the tin gods within his party, APC.

Ever since his emergence, there have been series of plots calling for the head of Saraki but they keep meeting their waterloo at the end of every trial instituted against him.

Prominent among the trials was the CCB/CCT False Asset Declaration. When the case first started, there was this "IGG (Initial Gra Gra)" aiming at forcing Saraki out of Office. The battle first started with a media attack and sentencing Saraki in the Court of Public Opinion on pages of newspapers to control the people's minds about his person.

Even our noisy neighbours who knew nothing than to tell lies and propaganda were all celebrating, jubilating and dancing all over the Social Media Platforms.

Disappointedly, the CCB/CCT were rubbished when the cross examination started and became glaring that the case was a mere political hounding to settle political differences. It's more of a political revenge among the political actors within the the ruling party; All Progressive Congress (APC).

As if that wasn't enough, certain elements from within the government (#GovtWithinGovt) of President Muhammad Buhari having seen that the CCB/CCT was heading towards the gutter, came up with another Court process tagged Forgery of Senate Standing Rules.

It is indeed laughable when some people within the government use government machineries at their disposal to victimize the citizenry to actualize their aim of having total control of both the executive and even the National Assembly.

Like it was asserted above, "When God has fought your battle, you stand aside because there is no more battle to fight."

Though, the Senate President, his Deputy and two other Staff of the National Assembly were arraigned, it became obviously clear even on the first day of the hearing that some people aren't just happy about Saraki being the Senate President and with him it can't just be business as usual.

To the surprise of many, while all these are going on, the government at the Centre and even States and Local Governments aren't moving forward. The economy is grounded and everything seems not working in the country.

One would expect a serious government to concentrate on the growth of the economy, creation of employment, provision of infrastructures, provision of health care facilities, protection of lives and properties, and many more than engaging in an unending political battle that brings no good to the masses.

In situations like this, the expectation is that the government shall fulfil all the campaign promises and alleviate the suffering of the commoners however, the agents and mouth piece of government seem not bothered but continue in their perpetual lies which they are known for.

They make no difference from being an opposition voice and being a government voice.

Of particular interest is the chief town crier that has been dubbed the General of Lies and Propaganda. A bastard who is proud to be a Lagosian than a Kwaran but enjoys the lorded fruit of Kwara state. What we have is one day, one lie. Haba! For how long shall we continue like this?

In a country that has to contend with low or non existence of employment, dressing the masquerade was the only thing that came forth from the Lying Monster!

If indeed anyone needs to be prosecuted, it is the Master of Lies who as the spokesman then and official spokesman now promised the teeming youths token for their pockets only to bring forth a teachers ad hoc training!

The Monster is Leveraging on public perception before the general elections, forgetting that action follows words, not words and words especially when the words are even full of mind boggling lies even a nursery school age once said "ah ah, broda Lai's lies are too glaring that whenever he opens his stinking mouth, lies freely exit themselves to deceive Nigerians".

The moment I heard that from a little boy, then, I remembered a Yoruba phenomenon with which I grew up with, which goes thus, "Eni ti o'nba pa iro, yio ja ole". Apologies to the non-yoruba readers.

That expression simply represents a notion among Yoruba people that whoever is a professional liar must be a professional thief.
