IMO DEPUTY GOVERNOR HAILS GOV. OKOROCHA FOR UNITING NDI-IGBO

The Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere has described Governor Okorocha’s effort at uniting Ndi Igbo with a view to putting their resources together to developing the zone as a step in the right direction.

Prince Madumere’s remark was contained in a press release signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Uche Onwuchekwa.

Prince Madumere who was elated by the result of Governor Okorocha’s effort particularly the reconciliation of the factions in Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo, which made the apex Pan Igbo group a mere toothless bulldog, to the extent the Igbos were perceived as unserious and mere jokers.

Prince Madumere who also described Governor Okorocha as a rare visionary leader of note recalled that Governor Okorocha is known for his love and sacrifices for peace and unity of Ndi Igbo and beyond having achieved same feat in the past under Nigeria Peace Forum and under other uncountable platforms and arrangement.

He commended the parties involved in the peace accord, saying that sacrifices made by them are not only appreciated by the Ndi-Igbo but will be remembered kindly by the generations of Ndi-Igbo yet unborn.

He added that united Igbo race present best opportunity to re-launch itself back to its progressive place in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and beyond especially with the present cooperation that now exist among Ohaneze Sociocultural forum, the Politicians led by the Governors and the business community.

The number two citizen of Imo State regrets a situation where Ndi-Igbo controls a total investment of over 30% in other zones but nothing on ground at the home front. He said the effort of the Igbo heroes past should never be allowed to be in vain.

He, therefore, calls for a more cohere and united Ndi-Igbo with new thinking, approach towards achieving a strong, virile, sustainable and self-sufficient economy.
