As Muslims mark the end of Ramadam in a joyful celebration, Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi has urged Muslim faithfuls in Delta State and Nigeria in general to use the spiritual benefits of Ramadan to contribute to the peace and development of the nation.

In a message congratulating Muslims for completing the month-long Ramadan fast, Osanebi called for tolerance and peaceful coexistence, adding that prosperity and development can only be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of rancor.

“The Deputy Speaker joins Muslims and all other patriotic citizens in the pious expectation that God Almighty will hearken to the supplications of the faithful and bless Delta State and Nigeria even more abundantly with peace, and national prosperity,” the message signed by his Special Assistant on media and publicity, Agbanashi Obinne, said.

He reassured Deltans of the commitment of the present administration to overcoming all distractions and delivering on the SMART agenda and prosperity for all.

Osanebi equally assured Deltans that the PDP led administration of Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa would continue to build on the firm foundation for sustainable development which it has already established in key sectors of the polity.

“The Deputy Speaker enjoined other elected and appointed leaders at all levels of governance to avoid overheating the polity with unnecessary ethnic and political intrigues, and give the highest priority to fulfilling their promises of better living conditions for the electorate first, before turning their minds to plans and permutations for personal benefits.

“As Muslim faithfuls celebrate Eid-el-Fitr and the end of Ramadan, the Deputy Speaker urges Deltans to continue to support the present administration in every possible way to ensure that Delta State continues to make steady progress towards the successful implementation of its SMART agenda for Prosperity of all Deltans.
