Cascade Controls Limited and the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Isaac Wonwu have been declared non members of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA). By this declaration they have forfeited membership of the Chamber having failed, neglected and refused to pay the statutory annual subscription of PHCCIMA.

They have also been restrained from attending any PHCCIMA meetings, participating in electoral processes, meddling and interfering in any of its administrative functions, gaining access into the premises or utilizing facilities and properties of the Chamber, hence, lack the competence, authority and powers to participate in the affairs, business and administration of PHCCIMA.

This was the outcome of a judgment delivered on Monday 27th June 2016 by Justice A.M Liman of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, in suit No. PHC/FH/CS/84/2014, filed by PHCCIMA challenging the legality of the membership of Cascade Controls Limited and the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Isaac Wonwu.

In a statement made available to press, the management of PHCCIMA disclosed that this judgment has finally laid to rest the incessant harassment of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce and her officers, including misrepresentations peddled in the media circles by Cascade Controls Ltd and Chief Isaac Wonwu.

The statement further revealed that PHCCIMA had sought for justice following strings of court cases instituted by Chief Isaac Wonwu and Cascade Controls Limited, emanating from the fallout of the 2009 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of PHCIMA which outcome is however now academic.
