Kabiru And The Brutally Attitude Of The Nigerian Police

By Tom Garba, Yola

One of the Strong reasons of establishing Police is to protect life and property,to make sure justice is given to those that ought to be given, to maintain law and order in any civilized society.

What's Nigerian turning to? A law society? Or what? Even the law agency like Police force cannot simply be law abiding? Cannot do what lawful and professional? We all know that the life of a single Nigerian is more precious than the rigs of oil we have in the Niger Delta, our lives should be more honored than even the farm products we produce up North.

Some few days ago Adamawa state Police Command cannot still explain the brutally attitude unleashed to one innocent Youth of Doubeli in Jimeta Yola,Kabiru Ahmed who is in the intensive unit of Federal Medical center (FMC) as a result of a serious beating received by the Men of Nigerian Police Doubeli Division and leaving him half dead.

In a civilized and a Democratic society like ours the the Nigerian Police cannot know the different between Dictatorship and Democracy system of Governance? I'm calling on the concern authority to investigate the beating of Kabiru Ahmed who is laying subconscious in Yola and bring to book those behind his beating.

The story by one of the eyes witness who wants to be anonymous has it that,"16th May 2016 at about 10-11am, 3 police officers came to Zaranda street in Mufti inside a tricycle, were they stop two young people walking alone the street known to be tilers and heading for work and were aggressively molested."

"Unknown to Kabiru he was heading to work with Moses who is known to be taken Indian hemp and was even discovered it on him the both were arrested. "

"After much persuasions by some Youths that Kabiru is not taken any intoxicants, hence he should be released but all to no avail only to receive a report he was terribly dealt with and is receiving treatment in the Hospital."

Investigations by many revealed that the police in Adamawa are not saying anything about the whole saga,as at many points the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Othman Abubakar when call upon he will said "I will out that when I get to the office".

" Police is our Friend" as the slogan always said by the Nigerian police, in the case of Kabiru now where is their friendship? How can they defend the mission which stated that they protecting live and property? No! No!! Something must be done to stop further this kind of unwanted behavior by Men of the Nigerian Police.

The questions I kept asking what will be the Faith of Kabiru? Can he be well and normal again? As reports are showing he has a neck injured and a his back bone is badly affected. What will be his fate? If dead or alive?
