Mrs. Ugwuanyi inaugurates sick bay project

By The Citizen

The wife of Enugu State Governor Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi has officially opened a sick bay built by her pet health project- Ugo Touch of Life Foundation (U-TOLF)- at Ukey/Ubeagu Primary School, Mpu in Aninri

Local Government Area.
The sick bay, she pointed out, was necessary to ensure the wellbeing of pupils whose health must be secured before they could engage in any meaningful learning process.

She equally observed that she was continuing with an ongoing campaign that had taken her team to Primary Schools in some other parts of the state where she de-wormed pupils and demonstrated to them healthy

habits involving proper hand wash procedures.
Mrs Ugwuanyi enjoined the teachers in the school to ensure that the sick bay was put to proper use, noting that she would be encouraged to continue supplying the facility with relevant drugs necessary for its

upkeep if she discovers during her next visit that it was being properly maintained.

Earlier in her goodwill speech, wife of the Aninri Local Government Transition Committee Chairman, Mrs.  Charity Ekwe, said she was overwhelmed by the unprecedented show of kindness shown her people by

the governor's wife, who she noted had come up with such generous gesture despite the present economic downturn in the country.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of drugs and other equipment by Mrs. Ugwanyi, for use in the bay. Among the equipment donated were a double bunk bed, a stand fan, power generating set, refrigerator, first aid box, wash hand basin, chairs and weighing scales.
