Punjab Business Investors Paid Rich Tribute To Former Nigerian High Commissioner To Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, Mni For Establishing Strong Economic Links Between Pakistan And Nigeria During (2012-2015)

Punjab Business Community including top Pakistani Investors from Lahore Chamber, Faisalabad Chamber and Sialkot Chamber have paid rich tribute to Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni, Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan for establishing strong economic links and exploring opportunities of business collaboration and investment between Punjab Province of Pakistan and Federal Republic of Nigeria in the areas of Agricultural Machinery like export of tractors to Nigeria, Agricultural Research, Fertilizers, Rice Processing, Solid minerals, textiles , pharmaceuticals and education.

While appreciating the diplomatic genius of Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni, President, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Sheikh Muhammad Arshad said that during the Diplomatic tenure of Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni (2012-2015), brotherly relations between Pakistan and Nigeria were translated into Economic Diplomacy to further strengthen “South-South Co-operation”.

He added that Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni served in Pakistan not as a “Nigerian Diplomat” sitting in an ivory tower, rather Ambassador Danladi, mni worked tirelessly round the clock like a great Nigerian Statesman to cement trade and investment between two countries for the better future of Nigerians.

He said that Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni is a true Nigerian Son and love for Nigeria runs in his blood that is why Ambassador Danladi, mni focused his energies on Punjab Province and visited a great number of Rice Processing Units, Leather Product Factories, Fertilizer Factories, Textile Industries, Pharmaceuticals and Millat Ferguson Tractor Factory including Faisalabad Agriculture University for training of Nigerian Agricultural Scientists.

Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz, President, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) also lauded the personal efforts of Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni , Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan and said that Ambassador Danladi struggled hard during his diplomatic assignment (2012-2015) in Pakistan to give a quantum jump to economic relations between Pakistan and Nigeria.

He also supported the proposal of Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, mni for establishment of Nigeria-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the better economic future of Nigerians.

Former President, Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Sheikh Abdul Majeed also congratulated Ambassador Dauda Danladni, mni on his successful completion of Diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan from 2012-2015 and termed Pakistan-Nigeria Diplomatic Economic relations during 2012-2015 as the Golden Chapter in the history of Pakistan-Nigeria trade and investment relations because owing to Ambassador Danladi’s personal efforts Pakistan-Nigeria bilateral trade jumped from US $ 80 Million to US $ 500 Million.

He also appealed to the Governments of Nigeria and Pakistan to assist and fast track the establishment of the Nigeria-Pakistan Joint Chambers of Commerce. He further observed that since the agreement was signed in Abuja during President Mamnoon Hussain median visit to Nigeria in 2014, the Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry is yet to take off as this singular move will hit Pakistan-Nigeria bilateral trade from US $ 500 Million to US $ 1 Billion in the coming years.
