The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) has suspended the former factional national Chairman of the party, Chief Maxi Okwu following his purported reconciliation with one Dr Ike Oye.

Announcing this on Thursday, APGA National Stakeholders Forum, a-decision making body of the party, equally and unanimously disassociate themselves from Okwu’s reconciliatory move, because according to them, the sacked Okwu failed to consult the relevant stakeholders since his actions are self serving.

This is even as they noted that did not and will never follow Okwu to his new camp.

The Forum, however, reaffirm their unalloyed support and confidence to its National Leader, Chief Hon. Sylvester Nwobu-Alor, and the 2013 Anambra State Governorship candidate of the party, Chief Dr. Chike Obidigbo for their sincere commitments towards the unity and overall interest of APGA, even as they noted that any reconciliatory effort without their blessings will not yield any positive result.

The APGA National Stakeholders Forum arrived at this decision in a communiqué written and signed by 12 out of its others distinguished members, such as Sadeeq I. Masalla, Chairman; Comrade Tony Edochie, High Chief Uche Njoku; Comrade Opara Ferguson; Ohamohi C.C; Sunday Nwachukwu; Okuli Jude Ejike; Hon. E.A. Ashonnbi; Chief Dickson Ogu; Hon. Barr. E.S Chijioke; Chief Sunday Obasahon; and Prince Gbenda Ateni.

It read in part: “Sequel to Daily Sun’s publication of Tuesday the 26thday of April, 2016 on the purported reconciliatory move by Chief Maxi Okwu and Dr Ike Oye, the APGA National Stakeholders Forum led by Chief Hon. Sylvester Nwobu-Alor and the governorship aspirant, Chief Dr. Chike Obidigbo vehemently refute the reconciliatory move in its entirety.

“We unanimously disassociate the APGA Stakeholders Forum from the said reconciliation for obvious reasons that Chief Maxi Okwu did not consult the relevant stakeholders since his actions are self serving. We strongly reaffirm that any reconciliatory effort without the blessing of our National Leader, Chief Hon. Sylvester Nwobu-Alor will not yield any positive result.

“The Forum hereby expresses our unalloyed support and confidence on our national leader, Chief Hon. Sylvester Nwobu-Alor and governorship aspirant, Chief Dr. Chike Obidigbo for their sincere ommitments towards the unity of APGA as a national party and the overall interest of the entire Nigerian nation.

In consideration of the seriousness of his action, Barr Maxi Okwu is hereby suspended. This Communique is signed by underlisted members of the strategy communiqué for and on behalf of APGA National Stakeholders Forum”.
