The immediate past Governor of Bauchi State, Isa Yuguda, who worked fervently for the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari  has , predictably left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

He was however shy of telling his men and the media where he is headed, but his body language and past activities suggest the obvious,  APC.

Yuguda, former Chairman,  Adamu Mu’azu,  and a former FCT,  Bala Mohammed,  all from Bauchi,  were all fingered as some of the key PDP members who delivered Bauchi to Buhari.

Despite the presence of these men, APC scored 931, 598, votes to PDP's 87,000.

Yuguda, who spoke  in Bauchi  on Saturday said he decided to leave the PDP because the party had lost focus and presently lacked the will to bring development to Nigeria.

“Already I have told my supporters that I will not force them to leave PDP. Anybody that wants to remain in PDP is free to do so and whoever wants to move with me is welcome.

“I decided to leave PDP because the party can no longer bring development to Nigeria, it's unfortunate that the party has lost focus,” he said.

“We must always pray for the success of our leaders because the Holy Quran admonishes people to pray for their leaders to succeed and that is why we should pray for the success of President Buhari's administration,” he said.

Some if his  supporters later  trooped to the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Bauchi where they publicly tore their PDP membership cards
