Osibanjo in Kano, pledges FG's support to Kano traders,

Vice president Yemi Osinbajo on Saturday commiserated

with Sabon Gari Market fire victims describing the
incidence as unfortunate . The vice president who is in

Kano for a one day official visit also pledged the Federal

government's support to the victims of the fire disaster

which destroyed over 3000 shops.
Osibanjo while accessing the damage caused by the fire in

the market stressed that there is need for the state

government to rebuild the market to meet up with modern

standards in order to avoid congestion, and activities that

could lead to fire out break in the market in the future as

well as a fire service station within the market.
During the visit, the VP inspected some ongoing projects

such as construction of roads at Sabon Gari, the sheikh

Jafar underpass constructed by the Ganduje
administration as well as the Amana City and commended

the state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his

commitment and urged him to remain focused and
committed to the responsibility saddled on him.
