Barely few weeks to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward, local, state and national congresses governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state has instigated crisis in the Isoko north chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as his Special Adviser on Peace building, Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi has created a parallel PDP leadership in the local government.

Close sources disclosed that the governor is using the likes of his aide, Mr. Emmanuel Ogidi, the chairman, Post Primary Education Board (PPEB), Mr. Patrick Akporuno, commissioner for housing, Mr. Joseph Ogeh, an aide to the housing commissioner, Mr. Emmanuel Okoro and corrupt DESOPADEC commissioner, Mr. Ovie Oghoore and others to sponsor the crisis in the party.

Some prominent leaders of the party had some few weeks ago called an enlarged meeting of leaders, elders and stakeholders of the party held at Ozoro, Isoko North local government area attended by the House of representatives minority leader and member representing Isoko federal constituency, Hon. Leo Okuweh Ogor, former secretary to the state government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, the Isoko North PDP chairman, Mr. Tutumor Daniel, Isoko north council chairman, ward chairmen and secretaries, councilors, women and youths and others but the meeting was shunned by the governor's aide Mr. Ogidi and his followers as allegedly instructed by the governor.

In the enlarges meeting, Hon. Ogor and Comrade Macaulay preached peace and love and charges all party, faithful, leaders, elders, councilors, women and youths to ensure that unity and love exist among all and elders in the party to always wade into any perceived grievances in the party in the interest of the Isoko and urged elected and appointed party members to use their positions to promote peace and unity and better the lives of the people.

It was gathered that, Mr. Ogidi, had before now vowed to cause crisis in the party and make sure that all former appointees in the former government of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan does not benefit anything from the present government of Ifeanyi Okowa and in keeping to his vows, he called for a parallel stakeholders meeting of the party two Sundays ago where some issues that could cause disunity and hatred in the party were said to have made by Mr. Ogidi.

It was gathered that Mr. Ogidi who is said to be nursing a senatorial ambition ahead of the 2019 general elections called for the parallel meeting to woo new supporters ahead of the PDP congresses so as to plant his men at the helm of affairs of the party in the local government area and governor Okowa is giving him his full backing.

An elder of the party who pleaded for anonymity disclosed that Mr. Ogidi and others went and forged a letter headed paper of the party to issued a circular for the Sunday meeting at his home in a bid to cause confusion and countered an earlier meeting called by the Isoko North PDP Chairman, Mr. Tutumor Daniel which was already in progress on the same Sunday at the party secretariat at Ozoro and attended by leaders, elders, ward chairmen and secretaries and councilors and other stakeholders.

According to the elder, "Right from time we all know that Ogidi is a big failure and confusionist in the Isoko North PDP and he has nothing to offer. The stakeholders meeting at Ogor's country home was the only authentic and recognised one which was attended by who is who in the party in the local government both within the local government, state and Abuja but shunned by Ogidi and his cohorts. Fruitful decisions to move the party forward were reached but Ogidi and his frustrated selfish, self centered and greedy followers called for a parallel meeting today Sunday."

A PDP faithful and kinsman of Mr. Ogidi who pleaded for anonymity said that Mr. Ogidi who cannot win a councilorship seat is fighting the former SSG, house of representatives minority leader, Mr. Leo Okuweh Ogor and others because of greed and selfish interest, stressing that leadership and politics is not for self seekers and self serving individuals who desperately want power and positions.

"Ogidi is very upset and confused because the party stakeholders in Isoko North in their last week meeting unanimous endorsed Mr. Leo Ogor and Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay as leaders of the party in the local government in recognition of their outstanding leadership and contributions to the growth and development of the party in the area. Emmanuel Ogidi was PDP Chairman without anybody in his Ellu Ward or Isoko North that he influenced his or her appointment or election as LG chairman, commissioner, councillor, PA, SA and board member.

"He moved up to become a Commissioner in NDDC still he did not influence the employment of anybody from his Ellu Ward or isoko into NDDC, even in 2011 prior to the 2011 election, Erewho-esa youths made several efforts to meet with him but he flatly refused to grant them audience. The 1km road project and Solar Water project that came to Aradhe from NDDD under his watch were not funded hence have remained abandoned since 2012. As PDP Chairman, he was awarded contract for the reconstruction of Aradhe-Ellu old road by the Delta state government.

"The contract has phase one and phase two. The phase two that is leading to Ellu was shabbily done with substandard materials while phase one leading to Aradhe has remained abandoned till date. Nobody can beat Comrade Ovuozorie Macaulay's achievements in Isoko nation today. The number of Isoko people he influenced their appointments and employment as well as as numerous projects attracted to Isoko alone are worthy of commendation." the PDP faithful disclosed.
