Idheze-Irri Community: Let There Be Communication Networks Now!

I want to use this veritable medium to call on the Federal, State and Local governments and Idheze-Irri stakeholders in Isoko-South Local Government Area of Delta State to invest massively on communication networks in the community.Idheze-Irri is one of the oil- rich producing communities in Delta State but has no effective communication system.

Several efforts had been made by some renowned Idheze-Irri stakeholders to bring communication networks like Glo, MTN, Estilat and AITEL to the community but no avail.Idheze-Irri people are peaceful and hospitable to accept any business investor with genuine mission to grow its community.

Idheze-Irri community cannot be kept in the dark over the years where indigenes and non-indigenes cannot be reached through their mobile networks making all economic activities grounded. Delta State Government and Representative of Isoko South and Isoko North Federal Constituency, Rt.Hon Leo Ogor should come to the aid of Idheze-Irri community as the son of the soil.

My point here is that Idheze-Irri is a community that government must give adequate attention to considering its massive revenue generation to the Nigerian economy in spite of the fluctuating oil prices in the International market. Even as an Ivrogbo-Irri son and my late grandmother maternal hailed from Idheze-Irri and built a house there where anytime I visit Idheze-Irri, communication becomes a problem to Mindset Media Limited. If the communication experts should be considering the market drive, then they got it wrong. Even siting it at Ozoro kingdom does have any communication link to Idheze-Irri community and if sited in Idheze other neighboring communities would as well benefit from it.

Again, Idheze-Irri might be a small community in Delta State but highly blessed with great sons and daughters whose pedigrees are enviable to the core. It is the duty of the State government to bring massive infrastructural developments to the community.

Some Idheze-Irri stakeholders have made some fruitful efforts by using their own resources to bring at least one communication network to the community over the years but no avail.Idheze-Irri is a community blessed with milk and honey where every economic activity is found there if harnessed by our present government.

Idheze-Irri is not a push over community in Nigeria where the like of Blessyn Okpowo,Chris Olakpe, Leo Ogor, Sergent Uredi, Ross Uredi,Rosi Okuweh, Isaac Okuweh, Willams Okuweh,Haggi,Nathaniel Elebe, Conference Elebe, Ojo and frontline journalist like Goddy Egene has emerged from. It is time for Delta State Governor; Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa with the collaboration of the Isoko South LGA Chairman, Sir Malik Ikpokpo to come to the aid of Idheze-Irri by using their positions to bring investors to the community, which would help to create employment opportunities for our youths and revenue generation to the government treasury.
