His words, “I have seen your theme, which borders on non – oil economy. Truly, we have a challenge with the dwindling revenue from the oil sector. Our Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha had envisaged such challenges when we launched “plant a Palm” programme with a view to revamp the palm business agribusiness generally, which sustained the then regions of Nigeria. We have gone further to build a productive base for our State especially in the area of agri-business and small and medium scale enterprises. If you visit artisans’ village, you will begin to appreciate the vision of Rescue Mission government. We have recovered the paper packaging industry and Resin Paint Industry all in a bid to get them working again. The worst that has happened to Nigeria’s product is lack of proper packaging. We are ready to sing a new song in this area”, he enthused.

He therefore assured the armed forces Command and Staff College Staffs and students led by Commodore M.C Okonkwo of the Government’s preparedness to ensure that they succeed in their enquiry so as to help them in their studies on the socio-economic potential of Imo State, which will also enable them make the necessary forecast and submission about the people who live in Imo.
