Softly, Softly Ibedeni Community

It is fast-becoming a recurring decimal of our neighbouring Ndokwa East communities taken laws into their hands to invade a noble community called Ivrogbo-Irri in Isoko-South Local Government Area of Delta State. Our community tranquillity should not be taken for granted by these desperate land chasers who never came with land to this world.

It is sad that these Ndokwa East communities like Ekpe and Ibedeni are now seeing Ivrogbo-Irri community as where they can invade anytime with lawless attitude. We all intermarried and lived peacefully over the years and why land dispute and sand dredging have become a community imbroglio which has left many property worth millions of naira being destroyed by this so-called despotic Ibedeni King at Ivrogbo-Irri community.Ivrogbo-Irri is not a lazy community as Ibedeni people in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State thought. We are financially, educationally, prayerfully and morally equipped to fight any community crisis but we respect the laws of the land.

Over the years, Ivrogbo-Irri people have been farming in those farmlands which now claimed by Ibedeni people without respecting the legal process. We are gradually being pushed to the world to fight for our community right. All concerned Ibedeni people in both Nigeria and Abroad should call their king in order and allow peace to reign.

We cannot start any community battle again as we all experienced the Ekpe own which has been amicably resolved to some extent.Ibedeni and Ivrogbo-Irri are peace-loving communities to be used by any selfish traditional leader at this 21stcentury.2016 should not be welcomed by any community crisis.Ibedeni people should allow peace to reign now.Ivrogbo-Irri people are peace-loving that always abide with the laws of the land and ready to sustain neighbouring relationship without qualms.

Community development is the core objective of Ivrogbo-Irri people over the years. Apart from marriage, Ibedeni and Ivrogbo-Irri people also trade together in fishing, hunting, farming and registration of WAEC students. Both Ndokwa East and Isoko South chairmen should intervene in this crisis now. Military intervention is good but we don’t want to lose any life from both communities at this present economic crunch. We are all one family!
