Leonard Umunna: A Philanthropic Bishop With Caring Spirit For The Needy
Every last Sunday of November of each year, Bishop Leonard Umunna,the Presiding Bishop of Bible Life Church Cathedral and father of church drama in Nigeria has earmarked it to be giving food items, wrappers and money to the widows, orphans and widowers in Ajegunle and beyond. He is one International and grassroots clergy that believes that giving to the poor also attracts blessings from God.
In Ajegunle community today, Bishop Leonard Umunna has stand out from the crowd in the sense that he has able to create a name in God’s kingdom from numerous humanitarian services in Ajegunle.As Bishop Umunna continues to grow from grace to grace and never be defeated by the devil one day, ministerial credibility has become his core objective. Over 10,000 widows have generously benefitted from Bishop Leonard Umunna’s largesse to humanity.
He does not believe that ministry should end on the pulpit only but also there is need to take the gospel to the poor as a way to make them strong in the lord. Bishop Leonard Umunna is gradually fulfilling the biblical promises of His maker which he was saved for over the years. Touching lives positively in Ajegunle community has made Bishop Leonard Umunna to remain the sought after a clergy that has digital caring spirit for the needy and ready to offer his little assistance without second thought.
According to Bishop Leonard Umunna while ministering on the pulpit said” I am not giving to the widows because they are poor but to encourage them that the Lord cares for all their endeavours”. Anybody that remembers the widows can never be lack in life.”I Care for the Needy” that has become a mission to save lives and do exploit in His kingdom cannot be taken for granted. Bible Life Church Cathedral is a church that cares for the poor.
For over the years Bishop Umunna is a man of God that does not double speak and ready to put smiles on the poor. The Last Sunday of November 29th, 2015 would be a memorable day for Ajegunle widows that graced the epoch-making event. He has able to create a veritable widows’ platform in Ajegunle.It is a programme that gives hope to the poor.
The 10,000 sitting capacity of Bible Life Church Cathedral was filled to the brim with widows and widowers to hear a man of God that has scarified himself to the poor. Food items like bag of rice, salt, packets of indomie and wrappers were shared to each widow that honoured the event. Bishop Leonard Umunna also advised them to be steadfast in the things of God, he added.
Holy Communion was taken by all Bible Lifers while they also witnessed the presentation of food items to the widows by Bishop Leonard Umunna.In Addition, Mindset Media Limited also presented award to him as the most Ajegunle patronised media clergy and grassroots development in Nigeria.
