Wife Of Senate President Pays Tribute To Late Chief Omowale Kuye

Attending the eighth-day fidau of the departed Otun Olubadan of Ibadan, the Wife of the Nigeria Senate President, H.E. Mrs. Toyin Saraki, gave thanks to the Almighty God for the life and legacies of Chief Omowale Kuye, a man of great accomplishment, integrity and notable service to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Having served as a former Director General, Special Duties and later Budget in the Office of the President of Nigeria, the late Kuye also worked with former Nigerian presidents, Alhaji Shehu Shagari and General Olusegun Obasanjo – in addition to serving and leading diligently in the Federal Ministry of Trade, the Federal Ministry of Industries and the Federal Ministry of Finance.

Also in attendance at the fidau were the Oyo State Governor – Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Justice Aloma Mukhtar, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, former Governor of Osun State - Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, wife of Oyo State Governor - Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, former Military Administrator of Lagos State, Gen. Raji Rasaki (rtd.), former Chief Judge of Oyo State - Justice Nurudeen Adekola, a former Inspector-General of Police - Mr. Tafa Balogun, Chief Kola Daisi, former Minister of Sports - Gen. I.B.M. Haruna, and the Chairman Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre - Dr. Lekan Are.

Mrs. Saraki, a childhood friend of the family, represented her husband, President of the Senate, H.E. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and her parents, The Otunba Adekunle Ojora and The Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, in enjoining the officiating clerics to offer prayers for the repose of the soul of the departed. High Chief Omowale Kuye died at the age of 87 and is survived by his wife, Chief Mrs. Priscilla Kuye, children and grandchildren.
