Aniagoh Nominated For Future Awards, 2 Others In A Week

Anambra born youth development facilitator and social media influencer, Ifeanyi Aniagoh, has been nominated for the 2015 Future Awards Africa Ford Foundation Prize for Youth Employment.

“This prize is very dear to our hearts,” said Chude Jideonwo, who is co-founder of the awards. “It goes to the core of our work, which focuses on enterprise. “We are delighted to have gotten young Nigerians taking charge, doing their bits and solving the issues of unemployment”.

The Ford Foundation Prize in Youth Employment nominees which were selected after an intensive four month period also include Kabiru Seidu-Dankata, Eze Ifedy-Ralph, Olamide Adeleye, Ukinebo Dare and Olajide Kabir-Tosinin in the all new award category introduced by the organizers.

Nominating Aniagoh, the organizers recognized the unique “identify, develop and empower” approach he uses in solving the Africa’s increasing problem of unemployment especially in his immediate environment.

Aniagoh, a youth development advocate and founder of De Edge Crew, has created scores of job opportunities by assembling the unemployed and creatively directing their skills and potentials.

Ifeanyi Aniagoh who has received several awards for his social and community development projects, is equally nominated for prizes in 2015 Anambra Youth Awards and the Entertainment Appraisal Awards holding respectively on the 4th and 5th December this year for his enormous role in building self reliant youths via entertainment.

The Future Awards Africa Ford Foundation Prize for Youth Employment is designed to recognize and support young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 33 involved in a social program or projects that contribute to fight youth unemployment in Nigeria.

Forbes has described The Future Awards Africa as “Most important awards for outstanding young Nigerians”, while the World Bank calls it “The Nobel Prize for young Africans”.

The event will be hosted on Sunday, December 6, 2015 in Lagos, Nigeria.
