INEC to APC: Fill Vacancy Created By Audu’s Death, Kogi Supplementary Election Fixes for Dec. 5.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has said it would continue with the Kogi State governorship election, which it declared inconclusive on Sunday.

A press statement signed by the secretary of the commission, Mrs Augusta C. Ogakwu said despite the death of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Abubakar Audu, the commission after due consideration of the circumstances decided to conduct the supplementary election in the 91 affected polling units.

The commission gave the APC the go ahead to replace Audu, having been officially notified by the party of his death.
