Update on our sister who was harassed embarrassed;
"RE: MUSLIM SISTER HARASSED IN BENUE STATE
Salam Alaikum
In regards to the issue of our MCAN Ameera of Benue state , A serving corps member who was harassed by one Captain Abalaba, MCAN, through

the National Ameer and North Central Zonal
Ameer contacted the State Coordinator (SC) of
NYSC in Benue state as soon as the issue was
reported. The SC of Benue State apologised to the
entire umma on behalf of her management, She
stated that the military man acted as an
individual and not in line with the NYSC rules.
The Benue State SC further informed us that a
committee has been set up to look into the issue.
The committee will give their report tonight
(Saturday, 14th of November, 2015), however a
grace of (Monday, 16th of November , 2015) will
be given to them to get back to us (MCAN).
With the response of the Benue SC who acted like
a true mother, we believe the issue is handled
with utmost attention , thus we , we are patiently
waiting for the resolution of the Management of
NYSC Benue State. However, we shall report to
our highly respected NYSC Director General
(Brigadier General Olawumi Johnson), if we are
not satisfied with their rulings. This will serve as

an example to all the military personals who have
harassed or have the intention of harassing any
corps member on religious grounds.
We therefore advised all Corps members to be
peaceful, respectful, patient and calm, In Sha
Allah, MCAN will follow the issue to the end and
bring captain Abalaba to justice through our
active NYSC structure.
