SMEDAN DG ROLLS OUT ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE AGENCY

Director General Small and Medium Agency of Nigeria SMEDAN, Bature Masari says the agency has provided over 59.7million jobs to Nigerians.

SMEDAN boss who disclosed this when he visited commerce and industry correspondent Association of Nigeria CICAN in Abuja, said the agency has since its inception, sought ways to tackle some of the problems the nation is faced with which includes unemployment.

Masari said" the agency introduced the National Enterprise development programme which is run in every state of the federation and has equally led to the establishment of over 800 enterprise across the nation thereby providing jobs to unemployed Nigerians".

He further stated that the agency has engineered a national council that oversees the development of SME's in the country, by bringing together stakeholders in the industry under one umbrella thereby projecting a sense of belongings to theses SME's and also assisting in funding when necessary.

Masari however called on SME's to take advantage of all the services provided by SMEDAN by walking into its service stations located in every state of the federation.

CICAN Chairperson Franca Ochigbo however thanked SMEDAN boss for taking out time to speak with journalists which according to her was an eye opener.
