Still On Nigerian Mobile Telephony Companies

It is exceptionally infuriating that Etisalat Nigeria and other GSM telephony companies bar their customers from visiting websites of their choice as they make browsers unusable...restricting us to the use of social media and chat applications.

This is no less frustrating than fradulent.
They also seem to put their data meters on an autopilot...as they run down the purportedly sold data so rapidly...irrespective of the actual usage rate or usage pattern of the customer. There was an occasion in which my data ran down while my phone was switched off!

The NCC is not helping matters either as the indolence of its staffers lead them to ignore petitions...rudely asking us to "call 622"....which they also ignore...albeit so irresponsibly!

Knowing Nigerians and our propensities for crime, it is not implausible that NCC staff is hand in gloves with these telephony companies to collaboratively defraud a vast majority of law abiding Nigerians of their hard-earned monies! The same mess repeats itself unendingly with the electricity distribution companies as they refuse to sell prepaid metering equipment to customers...prefering to give us estimated bills which are so out of tandem with actual consumption....as they keep sellers of meters out of business!

Outright undisguised theft!
The federal government of Nigeria must take immediate steps to address this ugly situation lest it stands accused of reaping from this crime.

We are simply tired of this mess!
