JPA Mbabazi’s international lobby in the UN system, ICC and NATO successfully asserted its influence to foil a plan to arrest him lately. He was to be arrested on feeble charges of murder, money laundering and espionage before nominating as a presidential candidate.

But we are now learning of other plans to print counterfeit currency notes and distribute them among voters with claims of Mbabazi being responsible.

As key members of the TDAU-Go Forward establishment, JEEMA cautions the general public to be vigilant and reject any sorts of strange money offers in relation to this electoral exercise.

The consequences of succumbing to those entraps are dire. Besides imprisonment you render your dignity at stake as well as conspiring in damaging the national economy by way of driving inflation high.

JEEMA and our candidate of thoughtful choice Mr Mbabazi do not believe in political patronage. We believe in a one and the same economic empowerment of citizens. In fact, Mr Mbabazi testifies, for a long time to have advised Mr Museveni on this but in vain. We thus, together are for total economic liberation for all citizens.

What the Recovery of Former Cooperative Society Assets Means to You

In the new ‘unity government’ of the people, by the people and for the people next year; JEEMA will push for rehabilitation of dilapidated cooperative society produce stores across the country and turn them into aggro-processing industries.

This is what practically candidate Museveni ought to have done over the last thirty years before focusing on the service industry.

Unfortunately we had in place a well focused political regime only pre-occupied with survival instincts that include rendering the citizenry into economic limbo. In the new economic order, the nation will wake up to:

  1. Massive jobs to our youth in the countryside and a drastically reduced congestion in the only city a 52-year independent Uganda has.
  2. Expanded tax base and export revenue and ultimately improved social service delivery potential on part of the new government.

Obviously, this is a fundamental shift in governance matters. So because public resources are to be redirected from weaponry and amassing individual assets to shared social values in agriculture, healthcare and education. This is all the candidature of Mr Mbabazi represents—a Uganda that works for all. So don’t assess him on individual basis but on what he symbolizes.

Gratitude to International Lobby
Thus far, JEEMA registers our deep gratitude to the international community’s first ever visible involvement in this electoral process. We also acknowledge the efforts of Mr Mbabazi in luring them—one of the reasons that informed JEEMA’s decision to back him.

We acknowledge that even if the international community are not direct voters, as key stake holders are equally affected by Uganda taking a delicate democratic path of impunity, corruption, lukewarm service deliveries and skewed public interventions---under their very noses.

Their involvement has so far yielded positive results; such as prevailing over police’s highhandedness and making our promise a sure bet: a complete phase-out of police brutality within the new government operations next year.

JEEMA, therefore, wishes to assure our international friends that the citizens appreciate and more so if they can help in restoring voter confidence to the effect that a ballot paper can be relied upon for a peaceful change of government without vote rigging, blackmail and intimidation of the population.

Please expand your physical presence to ensure a free and fair election in this country whose victory can be taken and protected by the citizens.

SCALE UP THE SUPPORT
While we appreciate the increasing support rendered by JEEMA members and the general public toward Mr Mbabazi’s candidature, we urge you all to use your individual influence and build up the mobilization effort in favour of a legitimate cause of change that Mr Mbabazi represents.

We are proud of you.
