Re: Crush Unarmed & Non Violent Protesters & Rot In Jail Locally & Internationally-Southeast Human Rights Coalition Warns Military Chiefs In Nigeria

By Aziza Uko

Dear Sir Emeka,
Good morning. I was shocked when I read the Nigerian Army's "riot act" read out to pro-Biafra protestors yesterdays. I am glad there are still some human rights activists bold and courageous enough to speak out in the face of tyranny. >>>http://www.thetrentonline.com/human-rights-groups-warn-nigerian-army-against-crushing-unarmed-non-violent-pro-biafra-protestors/

As a person, I believe that Nigeria can be saved, if President Buhari would also be bold and courageous to implement the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference. What Nigeria needs at this crucial time in our history is statesmanship, not partisanship.

I pray that God grants our president and everybody around him the wisdom to chart Nigeria towards the path of peace and a stronger democracy. God knows that enough innocent blood has been spilled in this country. The last thing we need is soldiers killing unarmed and non-violent protestors just to prove a baseless point.

Thanks for speaking up for the defenceless and voiceless of our country. Be assured of my goodwill.

Sincerely,
Aziza Uko
