Barely 10 months ago when the Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor was honoured by Ozoro Progress Union (OPU) central body Lagos under the then leadership of Engr. Solomon Okpithe, the present 2nd Vice President of Isoko Development Union(IDU) Lagos branch, he told the audience that he was elected to serve Isoko North people not to enrich himself in power. Only few at that event could understand such political promise from a deeply rooted grassroots leader.

Ever since he assumed as the chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, people are gradually feeling the impacts of grassroots leadership unlike when Local Government Chairmen in Isoko were bigger than the electorate that voted them into power.

The issue here is that, Mindset Media Limited is one veritable online media that treats political issues objectively without any fear of intimidation. We are not here to praise Hon.Egbabor but to set the record straight that leadership progression is being felt in Isoko North over one year now.

Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor is one grassroots leader in Isoko that has creative mindset of developing Isoko North and today, his administration has worked assiduously to reduce security threats in the land. For the time being, Isoko North Council was just met for leaders to collect their monthly salaries from the state and disappeared into the thin air.

Even many never felt the existence of Isoko North council and the beauty of the social media has helped to rebrand Isoko grassroots leadership under Hon.Egbabor’s administration. His tenacious style of leadership is commendable to the core. As a trained journalist on economic matters, delivering dividends of democracy to the people would not be problem and today his political legacy is felt on the grassroots leadership.

Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor’s administration is opened to constructive criticisms and that is why his leadership is different from other past chairmen of Isoko North Council. It is time we brought our leadership expertise to support his administration now.
