APC MEDIA GROUP CALL ON PRESIDENT BUHARI, OYEGUN TO ASSIST DELTA CHAPTER IN ITS QUEST TO END PDP 16 YEARS OF MISRULE

The leadership of Rescue Delta Media Group (RDMG) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and APC National Chairman, Chief Odigie Oyegun to assist the State chapter of the party so as to end the misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The group in a statement by its Director of Strategic Political Communication, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said the appeal has become necessary because it seems that the state chapter of the party can no longer shoulder the huge financial burden of tackling PDP due to the later's access to huge state funds.

He said the struggle to free the state from socioeconomic stagnancy, massive looting of public funds by some corrupt public servants and unscrupulous political office holders can no longer be left for the state leadership of the party because of limited financial and material resources.

The group asserted that funding of political advocacy, legal tussle at the various tribunals and superior courts, logistics, political advertising as well as day to day running of the party requires huge and regular funding.

The group commended the State leader and 2015 governorship candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor for his strong determination to grow the party and for single handedly funding the party's activities since its inception in the state.

Oghenesivbe urged President Buhari, Chief Oyegun and other party leaders at the national level to do the needful at this point in time to apply every legitimable means especially funding the party to enable it stabilize its financial strength to give the PDP a good fight.

The group said Delta PDP have exclusive access to state treasury and huge funds which the leadership of the party recklessly dolled out to frustrate the opposition in the just concluded tribunal cases making it very easy for the respondents to influence miscarriage of justice.

Delta APC is growing by the day. All that is required now is for Mr President, national Chairman of our great party and other financially endowed party leaders to join hands with Olorogun Otega Emerhor and other leaders in the state to adequately fund the party to enable it improve mass mobilization efforts and be able to fund the election appeal cases in superior courts, the statement added.
