Buhari's Ministers Can Be Petitioned—Kwankwaso

The former Governor of Kano State, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso revealed that all the ministers that will be working under the administration of Mohammadu Buhari are not above the law and they can be petitioned.

Kwankwaso stressed that there is nothing wrong with the calibre of people sent adding that Nigerians have the attitude of petitioning of especially individuals no matter how credible they may sound.

As the eighth Senate begin the screening of ministerial nominees sent to it by President Muhammadu Buhari, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said the exercise will be done in the general interest of Nigerians.

Speaking in an interview at the Yola International Airport, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said the Senate have a mandate to ensure credible persons are screened.

He narrated that he is optimistic that National interest will be considered in the screening exercise to enable the new administration commence the desired change for Nigerians.

He however said democracy calls for giving everyone the opportunity to participate and contribute for the overall good of the society a base on which the Senate choose to offer all nominees the right to appear for screening.

He acknowledge that efforts by the new administration to effect changes is gradually yielding positive results.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for success in the war against insurgency, Senator Kwankwaso called for patriotism for the present administration restore the country to its rightful place know for peace and development.
