London, Lagos: 8 October 2015: Seven Energy International Limited (“Seven Energy” or the “Company”), an independent Nigerian integrated oil and gas development, production and distribution company, provides a clarification regarding various recent media reports regarding the involvement of Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore with Seven Energy.

There have been various reports in the press concerning purported connections between Kola Aluko and Seven Energy.  Seven Energy would like to clarify that whilst Kola Aluko was a previous director and employee of Seven Energy, he has had no involvement in the running of, management of, or Board of the Company since 30th November 2011.  Kola Aluko has a shareholding interest, acquired before 2010, of less than 1% in the Company.

Seven Energy also notes that Jide Omokore has been mentioned in the press alongside Kola Aluko, and is sometimes named as being involved with Seven Energy.  Mr. Omokore has never been a director or employee of Seven Energy and has never held any ownership interest in the Company.

On 29th January 2015 Seven Energy also clarified its relationship with Nigerian Petroleum

Development Company (“NPDC”). Seven Energy has a Strategic Alliance Agreement with NPDC which has successfully increased production from OMLs 4, 38 and 41 from 20,000 barrels of oil per day (“bopd”) in October 2010 to an average of 52,500 bopd in 2014.  This asset continues to perform well with production currently running at 80,000 bopd.  Seven Energy is committed to the long term success of this joint venture and a continued transparent, professional relationship with NPDC.  This clarification can be found on Seven Energy’s website – www.sevenenergy.com
