At least 3 Killed In Borno Suicide Attacks

SAN FRANCISCO, October 08, (THEWILL) – At least three persons were killed Wednesday in suicide attacks by four suspected suicide bombers in Guibo, Borno State, northeastern Nigeria, the Borno State police commissioner, Mr. Aderemi Opadokun, said.

“There was an explosion in Gubio about 85 Km to Maiduguri at about 0550 hours on Wednesday when four suspected suicide bombers in military uniform infiltrated Gubio town in Gubio Local Government Area (LGA).”

“Two of the suspected bombers were said to have detonated Improvised Explosive Devised (IEDs) strapped on their bodies in two near empty mosques killing themselves and three locals,” the commissioner told correspondents in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

Opadokun said the other two suicide bombers were killed by troops while they were trying to reach a military location in Sabongari Damboa.
