Luminous Inverters Empowers Technicians with Training Programme
Lagos Nigeria, Friday, October 2, 2015. The Luminous Technician Training programme is an initiative designed to create, train and empower electricians and technicians in the field of energy conservation, equipping them with the specific understanding of Inverters, UPS and Batteries and how these alternate energy products can improve the power back up and thus life of their customers, which in turn opens up an altogether new area of entrepreneurship for them. The Technicians are also trained on the product components, installations and customer service. The training programme which commenced in April this year is set to take place in major towns and cities across the country.
According to the Marketing Manager, Wandel International Nigeria Limited, Mr. Rajneesh Gupta, the Luminous Technician Training Programme is a Pan Nigeria project expected to hold across all 36 States in the country with the aim of empowering electricians, engineers and technicians on installation and management of Luminous Inverters, Batteries and UPS.
Gupta explained that the whole idea of the project is to create more awareness for the product and at the same time create new entrepreneurs to deal with the peculiarities associated with the products thus the huge investment in the training initiative.
“As market leader and the most preferred brand of Inverters, UPS and Batteries in Nigeria, Wandel is committed to ensuring that our high quality product are backed by a premium service, hence the need to create a pool of well trained technicians to provide quality service for customers’’ he said.
He further stated that the training was first introduced last year November and has been accelerated within the last 6 months covering key locations in Nigeria such as; Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Nasarawa, Kaduna, Minna, Suleja, Warri, Benin, Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt and Yola.
“Over the past 6 months, we have trained and awarded Simba Training Certificates to over 400 technicians in these regions and also went further to build an association between these certified technicians and our registered distributors so that they can get or access additional support services whenever needed” he said.
Also commenting on the initiative, the Chief Technical Instructor, Simba Group, Mr. Napoleon Idisi stated that the training programme serves a remarkable platform for technicians/installers to empower themselves and gain the required Technical-Know-How about the installations and repair of Luminous Inverters, Batteries and UPS.
He revealed that the training is an ongoing process being conducted very regularly in different locations covering technical areas such as; basic understanding of the product, the different product components, installation and maintenance, provision of accurate capacity estimation and correct solution to customers, how to calculate load (appliances used by the customer) and back-up time.
“Our Inverters are available for both domestic as well as corporate usage with capacity ranging from 0.9KVA to 100KVA. The key outcome of these training programmes being conducted is to empower technicians with the right knowledge required to handle any of our product line/range they are confronted with” he said
The Luminous Technician Training Programme is still taking place in several key locations across the country and individuals with basic knowledge/understanding of electronics or electrical trade can partake in the exercise.
