PSC Promotes 2 Police Commissioners To AIG

SAN FRANCISCO, September 04, (THEWILL) – The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of two Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of police (AIG).

A Friday statement in Abuja by Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the Head, Press and Public Relations of the PSC, listed the beneficiaries as CP Danladi Mshielbwala and CP Ibrahim Idris.

The statement said the commission also reviewed the appeal by CP Zakari Biu against his dismissal.

It said that the commission exonerated him and retired him statutorily.

The statement said that the decisions were the high points of the 13th plenary meeting of the commission held in Abuja.

THEWILL recalls that Mr. Biu was sacked for allegedly facilitating the escape from police custody of Kabiru Sokoto, a detained Boko Haram suspect.
