Capt Ihenacho Denies 'Joining APC’

By Iwuala Emperor

The former nation’s Minister of Interior and governorship candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the last governorship election in Imo State, Capt Emmanuel Ihenacho, has said that he is not a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and does not have any intention to join the party.

This was contained in a recent press release by the former minister’s media aide Barr. Emperor Iwuala made available to the press.

The APGA chieftain who is also the Chairman and Chief Executive of Integrated Oil and Gas Limited remarked that the rebuttal statement to the media was sequel to the rumour making the rounds that he had joined the ruling party.

‘… For now, the former minister is facing his business squarely and has not got the time for unnecessary politicking. Moreover, he has not yet seen any reason to join APC. As a consummate administrator with integrity his debut in politics was born out of his passion to serve his people with his God-given acumen. Nevertheless, he is not a political desperado who is unnecessarily ambitious for political power to satisfy selfish desires…’, Iwuala said.

It could be remembered that late last year, the Emekuku-born international mariner expanded his oil and shipping business by venturing into aviation where it is said that he has acquired many aircrafts he leased to a notable oil firm in the country.
