IGP WARNS AGAINST ATTACKS ON POLICE STATIONS AND FORMATIONS

Following the spate of attacks and foiled Arson attempts at some Police Stations and Formations, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase hereby warn members of the public of the unsavoury implications of such inappropriate behaviour.

This was contained in a statement issued in Abuja, on Tuesday by the police Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu.

The statement said An attack on a Police Station is a criminal offence, and any person(s) involve in such act/action would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

The IGP has directed all field commanders to secure their Stations and Formations and to use every reasonable force permitted by law to protect our common heritage.

Members of the public are advised to explore available and appropriate channels to ventilate their grievances.
