Cuba Seeks Justice

By Hugo Chavez Foundation

Cuba wants justice and nothing more. This is a naturally acclaimed demand shared by the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity. This demand has been reinforced by peace, justice and freedom-living people of the world.

Cuba is a free, independent, peaceful and democratic nation. Like every country in the world, big or small, poor or rich, Cuba reserves the sovereign and territorial right to practice its own political, economic, social and cultural system without outside interference. This inalienable right, which is enjoyed by all countries has been undermined and trampled upon by the United States for more than fifty years, thereby unleashing genocide and modern holocaust on the Cuban people.

The diabolic, obnoxious, subversive and totally criminal blockade against Cuba has failed to achieve its stated goal of destroying the Cuban revolution and subjugation of dignity and integrity of the Cuban people. The US’s genocidal blockade on Cuba has only brought financial loses of over one and half trillion dollars to the Cuban people, and undermined the process of peace, stability, development and prosperity in Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. Because, Cuba’s foreign policy focuses on four revolutionary points of peace, stability, development and prosperity, which are also the bedrock for freedom and human dignity in the world.

The terrorist bombing of a Cuban passenger airliner in 1976 and killing of all 73 passengers on board, including Cuba’s junior fencing team and 11 medical students from Guyana; the 679 assassination attempts on the life of Commandant Fidel Castro, and more are enough evidenced to indict the United States for committing modern holocaust and crime against humanity on the Cuban people. US terrorism against Cuba has caused the deaths of 3, 478 and made another 2099 amputated and disabled.

The reopening of embassies in Washington (by Cuba) and Havana (by United States) are not enough to suggest that the US genocide and holocaust crime against the people of Cuba has ceased. What is the guarantee in the US much trumpeted and rhetoric talk of reopening ties with Cuba while at the same time still maintains an obnoxious and spurious embargo against the Cuban people. Why the United States continues to maintain anti-Cuban, anti-Latin American terrorist bases and terrorists in the likes of Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosh on its soil. We demand answers to these pertinent questions.

To the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCIF-PFS), reestablishing ties between Cuba and the US only helped to serve as reminder to the situation in Libya, where the newly found friends of the North African nation turned later to become a clique of terrorist outfits in NATO uniforms against the Libyan people. The result was the brutal assassination of Libyan leader Colonel Muammar Al-Qathafi and genocide unleashed on the African population in Libya. President Raul Castro and other progressive leaders in the Americas should be guided by unfolding events in Libya.

The US spurious embargo against Cuba is still active and caution should be taken by Cuban revolutionary leaders to be careful and take precaution when they visit the US for any conference or at the UN. They not only need to scan their food and drinks but also hotel rooms for radio nuclides. Commandant Fidel Castro knows very well the techniques employed by the US against him, which include exploding cigars, biological agents painted on his diving suit, deadly pills, toxic bacteria in coffee, exploding speaker’s podium, snipers, asteroids, poison-wielding female friends, poisonous tooth paste and brush, and explosive underwater sea shells, etc. There is just evil at work at the highest international criminal guise.

We condemn the hypocrisy of those who cherish and preserve today’s world of terrorism and imperialism. Cuba is championing the cause of humankind; for a new world to emerge out of the ashes of the old, exploitative and imperialist society. The success of the Cuban socialist revolution has exposed the fundamental fraud, degradation and dehumanization of capitalist society and proved that fundamental change is not only necessary but that it is possible.

The Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCIF-PFS) will continue to contribute immensely to the international solidarity movement with Cuba, beginning here in Africa: exposing the corporate media lies and demonization, and defending Cuban revolution; exposing fraudulent and undemocratic elections and defending the inalienable rights and democratic freedoms of people everywhere.

By this statement, the Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCIF-PFS) demands the following:

  1. Immediate and unconditional lifting of the US crusader embargo against the people of Cuba. And,

  1. Immediate and unconditional closure of all anti-Cuban, anti-Latin American terrorist bases in the US and extradition of all people wanted in Venezuela for acts of terrorism committed against Cuba and other countries of Latin America.

Long live Cuba! Solidarity with Cuba!
