Gen. Sobomabo Jackrich (a.ka. Egberipapa) has said, “In spite of provocation arising from the gruesome murder of his Chief Security Officer (C.S.O.), Late Tamuno-Iminabo Dokubo and President of Egberipapa Youth Council (EYC), Late Smart Soberekon, his organization is determined to remain peaceful following various appeals from Kalabari stakeholders, political stalwarts among others including promise by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Rivers State Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike that perpetrators of the heinous act will be brought to justice.

Speaking during the funeral rite of the Chief security officer at Buguma and subsequent interment at Abonnema on the 13^thof June 2015 he said “They know we have the capacity to retaliate and avenge the brutal killing of our members, but I urge everyone to maintain the peace and remain calm. “ I want us to know that Vengeance is of God; we are heavily pained by this gruesome murder of two vibrant members of our organization, but we are held back by the various appeals we have received to embrace peace, especially promise by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Rivers State Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike that perpetrators of the heinous act will be brought to justice”. “Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) believes that a peaceful environment is a necessary condition for progress, prosperity and good governance, for this singular reason we support 100% His Excellency the Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his effort to enthrone a peaceful and tranquil state.

The burial of Late Tamuno-Iminabo Dokubo, the Chief Security Officer (C.S.O.) to General Egberipapa and Late Smart Soberekon, President of Egberipapa Youth Council (EYC) who were gruesomely murdered by some assailant on April 11 during the 2015 gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections witnessed atmosphere of pain, tears and urge for vengeance as they were both laid to rest.

While Late Tamuno-Iminabo Dokubo, the Chief Security Officer (C.S.O.) to General Egberipapa was buried on the 13^th of June 2015 at Abonemma after an open air funeral service was held in Buguma, President of Egberipapa Youth Council (EYC), Late Smart Soberekon was buried on the 20^th of June at Okpor community in Abonemma after a open air funeral service was held in his honour at Buguma in Asari Toru LGA of Rivers state.

These two great heroes were not just KUF members but loyal and committed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who have contributed immensely to the advancement of both organizations. They were said to have answered the call to duty even when it was risky to do so, and lost their lives while working for the actualization of the election of Chief Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike as Governor and House of Assembly members for the area.

Jackrich used the occasion to pour encomiums on his Chief Security officer, Late Tamuno-Iminabo Dokubo and his vibrant President of Egberipapa Youth Council (EYC), Late Smart Soberekon for their role in enthroning true democracy and defending the KUF mantra for peace even as he prayed their soul to be reposed in the bosom of the Lord.

It will be recalled that Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich has been an ardent supporter of former president Jonathan and overtly used the Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) as a veritable formidable political platform to mobilize thousands of members for the good of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, His Excellency the Governor of Rivers State Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and his Deputy Her Excellency Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry-Banigo in the 2015 general elections.

While in that sojourn Egberipapa openly propagated the message of peace and compassionate philanthropy across the Niger Delta and was committed to making peace in his native Kalabari land with the Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) as the arrowhead of that campaign. As a Peace Ambassador he has lived up to his billing and prescribed roles that his title ‘PEACE AMBASSADOR’ demands.

In acknowledgement of these fallen heroes, and as a way to rightly affirm appreciation for the supreme sacrifice paid by these worthy sons, in addition to creating a sorts of relief for dependents, parents, wives, children etc. left behind, Amb Sobomabo Jackrich under the instrumentality of Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) has set up the Kengema Unity Trust Fundto handle and take care those left behind by these two illustrious sons and also other deserving members of Kengema Unity Forum.

This was announced and formally launched during the open air funeral rites and burial of his Chief Security Officer, Late Tamuno-Iminabo Dokubo at Buguma in Asari Toru LGA on the 13^th of June 2015. The initial capital outlay was Ten Million Naira (N10, 000,000) that shall be placed in perpetuity in an interest yielding account with a reputable bank.

Since its inception in 2011, Kengema Unity Forum (KUF) under its leader Ambassador Sobomabo Jackrich a.k.a. General Egberipapa has been involved in charity. It was a result of the numerous charitable deeds of General Egberipapa which includes buying and distributing of buses, cars, boats, motorcycles, sewing machines, relief materials, payment of medical and educational bills, provision of boreholes to various communities, financial assistance in burials etc, that inspired the setting up of Kengema Unity Forum in the Kalabari Kingdom. The aforementioned deeds were done under Egberipapa Leadership Foundation’s Network for Defence of Democracy and Good Governance (NDDGG) among others..
