Buhari meets Dogara, Gbajabiamila over NASS crisis

President Muhammadu Buhari was scheduled to meet members of the two factions in the House of Representatives tonight.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the scheduled meeting to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, is expected to lead members of his group while Femi Gbajabiamila will also lead lawmakers that are loyal to him to the meeting.

The meeting was expected to hold by 10pm at the First Lady's Conference Hall inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is the first time Buhari will be meeting any of the leaders of the National Assembly since Dogara and the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, emerged contrary to the choice of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress.

The President may also be meeting Saraki any moment from now.
