The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Bro. Felix Obuah, has again called on all residents of Port Harcourt and people of the State to fully participate in this Saturday’s (June 27, 2015) monthly sanitation exercise in the State.

Bro. Obuah says this call becomes necessary in keeping with the avowed commitment and efforts of the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, to restore the garden city status of Port Harcourt and a healthy Rivers State.

Bro. Obuah further appeals to residents of Port Harcourt and environs to comply with the restriction of movement Order during the period of the exercise from 7am to 10am, except those on essential duties, who are also advised to collect free-movement permit from the Agency accordingly.

The RIWAMA Sole Administrator also urges owners of trucks (individuals and cooperate organizations) to make available their trucks for the evacuation of wastes from the various points to designated receptacles in the respective areas.

Why appealing for the people’s support for the realization of this administration’s vision of a clean and safe environment, Obuah warns that anyone who fails to participate in the exercise and flouts the restriction order will be made to face the full wrath of the law without fear or favour.
