A’ Ibom Now has Improved Power Supply – Gov Udom’s Spokesman

The distribution of power supply to residents in Akwa Ibom state has improved tremendously as a result of a direct intervention by the Udom Emmanuel administration.

Already agreements have been reached for additional 20 mega watts of electricity into the state supply system to further boost the stability of power supply.

The Chief Press Secretary to the State Governor Mr. Ekerete Udoh who interacted with newsmen in his office said that Governor Emmanuel is leaving no stone unturned in addressing the basic needs of the people as he had promised during his electioneering campaigns.

“Governor Udom Emmanuel met with the management of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company on issues bothering on regular power supply to our state and as you can see, there has been a relative stability and improved supply of electricity in the state in recent times.”

Mr. Udoh said plans by government is to ensure that the people enjoy 24 hour distribution of electricity in all parts of the state and added that the street lights in all major roads in the state capital are back up and running to provide an investor–friendly environment.

Governor Udom Emmanuel is passionate about industrialization and to achieve this, the enabling environment must be created to attract the right investments to the state." Mr. Udoh had stated.

The governor’s spokesman stated that barriers to effective supply of gas to the state power plant have been addressed maintaining that, “the improved power supply has not come to the state by happenstance, but through a concerted move byGovernor Emmanuel to enhance the quality of life of the people while providing the enabling environment to attract the right investments to the state."
