THE WESTERN GERMANY CONNECTION

I think Femi Adesina and Shehu Garba should start doing frog jump in Aso Rock before President Muhammadu Buhari returns from work today. I can't have two professional speech writers and I go on International TV to give thanks to a country that has seized to exist twenty five years ago.

Now, very forgivable is the reference to Angela Merkel as President Mitchel, which is not much of a Problem. It can be waved off as pronunciation error and this is never an issue in International diplomacy.

However, the reference to West Germany exposes a man who is totally disconnected with contemporary global politics. How can you possibly refer to Germany as West Germany in 2015? It's like making reference to Panya while making a speech at the United Nation.

The most disastrous aspect of the speech is when the President thanked the heads of state for asking him to discus with their “chief defence of staff”. This part showed that the President couldn't even comprehend here any longer.

The truth is that President Buhari might have a very strong will to move this county forward and we need to help him. A will without a way can lead to wallowing.

The President actually needs to put together a very competent team to help him because some blunders might actually begin to caste doubts over his grasp and understanding of the details involved in these meetings he attends.

It's not too early to start fronting Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo. You can't be benching your star player just because you want the captain to make the team.

But for employing two world class media giants and they allowed our President to thank the President of a country that is non existence in the last 25 years, Femi Adeshina and Shehu Garba should continue that frog jump till next week.
