LAUTECH: THESE FETTERS MUST BE BROKEN.

By Oluwatomilola Tomi

We’ve endured enough loss of souls in this hinterland and no condolence or sympathy message is enough to wipe our tears and sorrow away in this time of grieving. My heart weeps in agony and I couldn’t help but shed tears as I gaze at the daunting picture of the lady that lost her life yesterday through a horrendous accident. To note, within just four (4) days, we lost two of our fellows to the cold hands of death in a rather tragic occurrence- which has become usual.

This land bleeds as the bloods of the innocents are shed, and there is none to defend our cause, none who cares. Shall we then continue to mourn our loved ones every now and then? NO! Yesterday it was Fatai, Today, it is Korede; who knows who will follow tomorrow. My conclusion is that this land needs to be cleansed from maybe the curse of untimely death- which is said to be an operation of curse, evil occurrences and attacks.

It is then imperative that we come together; Muslims, Christians- to raise our lamentations and seek the face of our creator in one accord for the cleansing of this land drenched in blood. This yoke placed upon this land must be broken. Every hold of the spirit of death upon this land must be loosed. Every decree of death made upon this land must be destroyed totally. This untimely death cutting short the destiny of our friends and loved ones without being fulfilled must be shattered.

Let us raise a lamentation for LAUTECH: perhaps Heaven will hear and come to deliver her from this shackles of DEATH that seem to have been put on her neck. For HIM to wipe every tear from our eyes; avert more death or mourning or crying or pain; we must raise a lamentation, so that Heaven may hear and arise for our help. This land needs cleansing.

These fetters must be broken, and it is only God who can do it. Let’s seek HIS face; HE has to deliver us by all means. Arise my people and raise a cry for LAUTECH. Let the Union declare 3-day fasting and praying (maybe Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week). Let all education activities be put on hold and we’ll all meet to pray for the cleansing of this land; I suggest.

God will surely deliver us. Amen.
