Our nation, in the last couple of days has been experiencing some kind of political VOLCANO. I am really flabbergasted and lost in the deep blue sea of super sophisticated national politics. Oh yes!

Alhaji Lai Mohammed said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) strategised to truncate the CHANGE that Nigerians yearned for. My heart pumped for oxygen as my slim frame almost collapsed. What is happening? Nobody could provide immediate answer as friends around me were also watching the event live on television with total concentration, on that unforgettable Tuesday.

Before we could say JACK, the COOKIES CRUMBLED. The game of politics is deeper than the devil's BLUE SEA which is why it is not advisable to beat ones chest too hard when engaged in the political cheese game. I am optimistic that somewhere along the line parties will find a level playing ground and a new page will be open for new heart-breaking records at the NASS.

What do I mean? Oh my God. Just saying that it may not yet be UHURU at the NASS. There might just be the need for super political actors to meet at various locations during WEE HOURS in the next couple of days and weeks to perfect bottle-neck strategies. As the saying goes, YOU DONT STEAL FROM THE MAFIAS AND LIVE TO ENJOY IT. To walk naked in the LION's Dean requires some fortification. The KING of the JUNGLE is a master hunter.

I want to believe that this POWER GAME will create a paradigm shift in partisan politics anchored on TRUST and LOYALTY. These two concepts, will require modern day political definition so as to enable political craftsmen and women guide against last minute surprises. It was daring. Planned and executed by some of the smartest brains in the field of active partisan politics. Even the angels were surprised, so to speak.

I am pretty sure that CORE STAKEHOLDERS in the All Progressives Congress (APC) will look inward and scrutinize some elements who are super agents of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in its rank and file. I believe Lai Mohammed that there are some "black legs" in the APC working closely with non-progressives. The event of last Tuesday need to be taking to the political laboratory for proper investigation. Something went wrong and the planning was done long before May 29.

It appears that the PDP planted some political tacticians in the APC and time is now for these stock of political JAMES BOND to be fished out through the use of scientific methodology and other known negative spirit detectors. Lai Mohammed said "Senator Bukola Saraki is a technical member of the PDP." What ever that coinage meant is a matter for political analysts to scrutinize.

Mr President's position is democratic, never to interfere with the internal affairs of the NASS and promise to work with the new principal officers. His congratulatory message to the duo seem to put paid to the scenario. But APC Lagos State through its mouth piece, Mr. Igbokwe rejected the development and informed the nation that it is not yet over, until it is over.

What more can I say? I believe this is the beginning of many more surprises that will characterize the 8th national assembly. Yes, more surprises are underway because relevant stakeholders will not go to bed until their own interest is protected in this political dispensation. Afterall, politics is the struggle for power and the refinance of that same power.

Tambuwal became speaker through this type of sophisticated political power game and he remained till the end of the 7th Assembly. Will history repeat itself? Can Saraki remain till the end of the 8th assembly as Senate President? We keep our fingers crossed. The political class will need to fortify their ends because the game is for the SWIFT. Some players will need to watch their back to avoid super surprises.

Fellow Nigerians, let us keep our fingers crossed and watch the event as they unfold in the next coming days and weeks. In all, our leaders should be focused to give our people reasonable quantity of dividend of democracy to cure the prevailing acute poverty, hunger, infrastructural decay and epileptic power supply. God bless Nigeria.
