It has come to the attention of the Rivers State chapter of APC that care-taker governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has commenced his several schemes to dupe Rivers people, one of which is to orchestrate an imaginary looting of Government House, Port Harcourt by the officials of erstwhile government of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CON.

Initially, we thought it was some stunt by the renowned stuntman, Nyesom Wike and his motley gang. However, it does appear that the caretaker governor is set to pull a fast one on the people of Rivers State quite early in his numbered tenure.

We have watched his usual theatricals as he pretended to conduct his associates around the Government House facility just to prove that it was looted by the former government. The entire drama has been made to look like the storming of the Palace of Saddam Hussein in Iraq in 2003 and later that of Muammar Gaddafi of Libya in 2011, just to prove that Government House, Port Harcourt requires massive refurbishing and repairs. All of this is ostensibly aimed at paving way for massive refurbishment and repair contracts whose costs will be in several billions of Naira for himself and his cronies.

The APC would like to call on Rivers people to resist being hoodwinked by a master conman whose days as governor are numbered as he will soon be thrown out by the Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

He sought reprieve from evading service for a long term but the slow wheel of justice finally got him and he was served court process. Similarly, we expect the tribunal process to be typically not quick but surely will serve us justice by throwing away the usurper, Barr. Nyesom Wike and save Rivers State from the stranglehold of PDP buccaneers. It is only a matter of time!

2 Wike to bankroll PDP opposition activities with R/S resources

…Bribe PDP leadership to shift retreat from AK to R/S

Barely 72 hours after being sworn-in as accidental care-taker governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has accepted to bankroll the activities of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in the new dispensation with the lean resources of Rivers State.

To chart the way on his new mission, he obtained a loan on behalf of the state government running into hundreds of millions of Naira out of which he used a lion share of it to bribe PDP hierarchy to move the party's retreat which was originally billed for Akwa Ibom State to now hold in Rivers State just to shore up his fledgling and battered image as a stand-in governor.

It is clear that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has concluded plans to fritter away themeagre resources of Rivers state as the party has decided to relocate its headquarters from Abuja to Port Harcourt.

During the retreat held by the chequered and fractured leadership of the party which took place in the state capital barely 72 hours after Chief Nyesom Wike was sworn-in as the Governor, the outgoing Senate President, David Mark had declared that the state has now become the headquarters of the opposition with the governor as the face of opposition.

We are not in doubt as to why Gov. Wike whose mandate is to be decided by the courts decided to host the parley for the party which lost favour with Nigerians after 16 years of dismal performance.

The governor who in the past accused his former boss and predecessor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi of using state funds to sponsor the APC has within 3 days of being in office, displayed his penchant for wasting government money at any given opportunity.

The reason for the choice of Rivers state as the PDP operational headquarters only goes to show that the treasury of the state has again been hijacked by the same cabal who have regrouped to continue with their old business of milking the state dry.

The APC would like to ask Rivers people whose right to choose a credible governor as well as representatives were brazenly trampled upon during the last general elections, to rise up immediately to the occasion to stop this impunity.

With the relocation of the PDP from Abuja to Rivers state, it is now clear to the PDP that Nigerians have rejected them after 16 years of power and the resulting economic mishap which our nation is faced with at the moment.
