The inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari may have come and gone but the sight and sounds of the event lingers.

In his inaugural speech, President Buhari promise to invest substantially in the Niger-Delta region to facilitate socioeconomic and infrastructural development.

The President who had fruitful discussions with the leader of Delta State delegation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun O'tega Emerhor (OON) said there is the absolute need for government to deliberately focus on youth development in the Niger Delta so as to sustain peace, security and economic growth of the region.

Earlier, Olorogun Emerhor told the President that the people of the Niger-Delta especially Delta State look up to his administration to address the injustice of the past administration by doing the needful to bring economic prosperity to the State and the Niger-Delta region.

He urged the President to pay special attention to the welfare and training of repentant militants in the region to drastically reduce restiveness and shore up oil production for increased revenue generation.

APC Delta delegation to the inauguration of President Buhari had a fun-filled weekend courtesy of Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) who led the delegation to Eagle Square on Friday and played host to the entire team at the prestigious 5 stars Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

Addressing party faithful at the Hilton Hotel, State Party Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue urged members not to relent in their efforts in ensuring that the APC in Delta State becomes more formidable. He said the party will soon take over the political leadership in Delta State as the Senator Okowa led PDP will soon crash out of the Unity House, Asaba.
