Okey Nwosu/ Owerri Says PDP Is Dead
An apex youth body in Imo state, Imo Youth Council IYC, says that the Imo State chapter of People Democratic Party PDP is dead following its losses in the just concluded governorship lection in the state, wherein Governor Okorocha defeated its candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihediaoha with large merging votes.
Addressing Journalists in Owerri, the President of Imo Youth Council, Comrade Jeff Nwoha maintained that due to the high- handedness coupled with lack of good and viable ideology of PDP in the state, their members and chieftains are seriously and massively leaving the party for APC wherein he noted viable ideology is laid down for the goodness and progress of the state. Stipulating that APC is a party to reckon with now and can also lead Imo to National success and glory.
The council insist that: with the viable and attainable policies and programmes of the Rescue Mission as champion by Governor Okorocha, developmental projects will be initiated and implemented effectively for even development of Imo state.
While reacting on case filed against Okorocha, the Imo state apex youth body who posited that they as a party are interested in the case, he called for live coverage of the election tribunal during its proceedings for the truth to prevail so that Imo people would know who rigged or did not rig the election
The council further hinted that Ihedioha has no evidence to even pursue his case against Owelle at the tribunal sitting in Owerri, advising Ihedioha to honorable withdraw the case to save his money as well as, conserve his money his energy or he will be defeated again.
He also advise PDP to accept the statue and reality of being an opposition party now both at the national and state level but to go on and criticize Owelle and APC constructively.
Nwoha who felicitated with the peoples Governor on behalf on Imo Youths on his inauguration for the second term in office, added that there is no way Ihedioha could win Owelle at the tribunal because the record are there for testimonies and that they are intact. He recounted that it was the PDP that rigged election to favour them against the peoples, saying that God will not allow them to succeed.
The council however encourages Owelle not to allow anything to distract him in his bid to better the state more.
